When you sign in via Google or Facebook (OpenID Connect), we receive:

• A unique identifier from the provider

We do not receive your password. We do not request access to your contacts, photos, messages, or any other account content.

• Create and manage your account in our application
• Authenticate you on subsequent visits
• Grant access to features reserved for registered users

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes.

Your data may be shared only in the following cases:

• Technical service providers (e.g., AWS) that host our application, subject to strict confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at admin@footballref.ca.

We use industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption and encryption-at-rest to protect your information.

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account and data
• Revoke our application's access to your Google or Facebook account via your provider's settings

We use a session cookie to maintain your login and a language preference cookie. These cookies are functional and not used for advertising.

Authentication is handled by Google and Facebook under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies.

We may update this policy at any time. For material changes, we will post a notice in the application. The last update date appears at the top of this page.
